In the early 1950’s, while attending Temple University School of Nursing in Philadelphia, PA, Helen met George F. Baldwin whom she married in 1954. She was known for her helpful nature and generosity by her neighbors, and often volunteered her time at local senior centers, as well as the Second Hand Rose consignment shop and Meals-On-Wheels. She had a vibrant personality and enjoyed nature and long-distance walks with friends.
