Obituary of Son Nguyen
Our family is deeply saddened to announce the death of Son T. Nguyen. Son lost his battle to Multiple Myeloma on July 12, 2017 after courageously fighting the disease for the past five years. He is survived by his wife and their two daughters, his six younger siblings and their families, and his Mother.
Son was born on May 9, 1964 in Vietnam and came to the United States with his family in 1975. As an immigrant, Son made his way to Virginia Tech where he earned a Mechanical Engineering Degree. He further went on to obtain both Master Degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and was an accomplished Professional Engineer.
Son will be forever remembered for his unending dedication to family. As the eldest of seven, Son cared for his younger siblings; inspiring and teaching us by his example. As a husband, Son showed us the true meaning of love and devotion each and everyday for the past 26 years. As a son, he showed us how to respect and love our parents; with constant devotion and attentiveness. And as a father, Son showed us that love is both patient and kind.
Son's virtues will always be remembered in the lives he has touched. Among his many passions, Son was particularly dedicated to cleaning the Chesapeake Bay.
A Visitation will be held at Adams-Green Funeral Home on 721 Elden Street in Herndon Va on Monday July 17th at 5 - 8pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, July 18th at St. Theresa's Catholic Church on 21371 St. Theresa Lane, Ashburn Va.
The family asks that all pray for Son Nguyen and for all those who continue their fight with cancer. Donations towards finding a cure for Multiple Myeloma and cleanup efforts at the Chesapeake Bay are greatly appreciated.
