> Heidi Smarup passed away peacefully on March 5 surrounded by family. She was born in Germany in 1941 and came to the US at an early age. Heidi eventually settled down in Herndon and Chantilly becoming a long time resident.
> Heidi was preceded in death by her husband, John Smarup. She is survived by her Daughter, Stephanie Smarup Ray, son-in-law David Ray, sister Dagmar Sullivan, nephews Thomas and Steven Sullivan, and her long time companion Rodney Walker. The burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined
