Obituary of Linda Marie Ferraro

Linda Ferraro, age 72, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2020 after battling Alzheimer’s. She was born June 15, 1947 in Ozone Park, New York to Carmine and Rose Artura. It was there that she met and married  Vito “Billy” Ferraro. After settling in Sayreville, NJ, they raised three daughters, and over the next 53 years, their family grew.

Knowing Linda, you knew that her happiest memories included a Mouse. She organized many trips for the entire family (all 22) to her happiest place on Earth, Walt Disney World. She took pride in giving each grandchild their first piece of the magic with their very own Mickey ears. She taught us that family came first and that everything was possible “with faith, trust, and a little bit of Pixie Dust.”

Linda was a passionate cook, and her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of Italian family recipes cooking on the stove, and in the oven. Her other passion was quilting, which she learned as a member of a community sewing group in Fayetteville, PA. She enjoyed creating beautiful quilts as special gifts for family and friends.

Linda is remembered by her husband, retired Army Lt. Colonel Vito Ferraro; her three daughters and their husbands, Regina and Joseph Papini, AnneMarie and Peter Campbell, and Susan and Scott Bowers; and her grandchildren, Christina and Joseph Papini, Alexandra, Leah, and Macallan Campbell, and Zachary, Samantha, and Casey Bowers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s honor for the fight against Alzheimer’s at act.alz.org.
