A longtime resident of Metuchen, NJ, Virginia spent her last six years in Falls Church and Great Falls, Virginia receiving loving care from her daughter Vanessa Davidson and granddaughter Jessica Zielke. She was surrounded constantly by family, love and compassion, and died peacefully at home.
Virginia Ann Davidson (McWhorter), affectionately known by most as “Granny” or “Jimma-Lou”, was born on June 1st,1925 in Statesville, NC. In addition to being a military spouse while her husband served honorably for several years, Virginia worked at Gulton Industries, and later in life as a caregiver for her family and numerous other families in the community. Virginia was a passionate reader and follower of politics, and was excited to cast her vote in the upcoming Presidential election for Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris. Having previously worked as a poll worker in NJ, she could always be counted on to give her very strong opinions to anyone who asked about the news of the day. She was an excellent cook, and later in her life looked forward to going to the movies every Friday with her granddaughter, Jessica.
Virginia leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sister Mary-Lee McNeal, along with her children Belinda Kaye Davidson, Ronald Davidson, and Vanessa Davidson.
