Obituary of Bradley Clinton Reed

Bradley Clinton Reed (Age 63)

Passed away suddenly on October 6, 2021, at his home in Reston, Virginia.

Born on 21 November 1957, he was the son of the late Clinton and Leta Reed. 

Brad earned a B.S. degree from Missouri State University followed by Masters and doctorate degrees in Geography from University of Kansas. He worked as a climate change scientist at the United States Geological Survey for over 30 years. He was apioneer in the fight against Global Warming and a strong advocate for conservation of the Earth natural resources. 

He loved reading, rock climbing, biking, kayaking, listening to rock music, traveling internationally but most of all spending time with his two daughters, his wife, and their dog. 

He is survived by his wife (Ellie), two daughters (Dalia and Mila), his brothers Bob, Bill, Barry, his sister Valerie, and their spouses. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with a memorial service at 11:00 AM on 15 October 2021 at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St, Herndon, VA 20170.

In lieu flowers, donations to cover all unexpected expenses will be appreciated. 

For those family members and friends who will not be able to be present, there will be live stream coverage of the memorial service.

To honor Brad’s life, in addition to the memorial service, Ellie would like to invite you to a gathering at a nearby brewery from 1 pm to 3 pm (See address below). Being a true connoisseur of a good beer, this would be a fitting venue to celebrate Brad’s life where he enjoyed visiting with friends and family. Please bring your best stories about Brad and fond memories of him and let’s remember him in a way he would have loved and enjoyed.
