Jeff,
You were a great friend to my brother Matt and the Burke family. You stood in for me at Matt's wedding as our daughter was being born. I was so appreciative. Our kids loved meeting your boys and playing at Matt and Stacey's 4th of July parties.
It seems like yesterday that Jimmy Kelliher and I were rolling toilet paper rolls outside of your classroom at McLean High during Maid and Butler Day.
Our Lord certainly called you too soon from this Earth.

Elise - Kathy and I send our deepest sympathy to you and your boys. I have so much to say, but I will keep it short. Jeff was not only a talented co-worker, dear friend, a treasured golfing partner…..he is one of those people in my life who made me a better person. He made me laugh, and he made me think. Elise and family, Please accept our deepest condolences. Jeff was such a wonderful person and coworker…So smart, witty and kind. We have many great memories of the Stanford Telecom days — the holiday parties, picnics, and our annual bet on the VT vs UVA game. That big grin on his face as he handed over the VT sweatshirt for me to wear for the day was unforgettable. We were fortunate to have another opportunity to work together more recently. Jeff, Elise, Matthew and Michael are a part of our Copper Creek family. Although we moved away, I often thought of Jeff and how he coached our son, Josh's first soccer team. He was so patient as the boys were off looking at the sky and generally being distracted. I am grateful to Jeff and Elise for being a "second family" to Josh. My heart is hurting for you and I send my love and prayers to all who loved Jeff - especially Elise, Matthew and Michael. May your memories bring some comfort in the difficult days ahead.
