Obituary of Dominick Carducci

Dominick Carducci of Great Falls, Va., died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his home after a lengthy illness. Born on November 18, 1932 in Villagrande, Italy, to Gabriel Carducci and Enrichetta Tiberi Carducci, Mr. Carducci and his family emigrated to the United States following World War II. He served more than 20 years in the U.S. Navy, followed by a successful career as an entrepreneur, owning and operating multiple businesses with locations across the country.

His sister, Ada Carducci Camizzi, who passed away in 2001, and brother, Roger Nino Carducci, who died in 2009, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Linda O. Carducci; daughters Gabriella Sideleau, Nancy Hodges, Ramona Henby and Sonya Smith; grandchildren Ryan Hodges, Samantha Hancock, Dominique Sideleau, Austin Henby and Alayna Henby; great grandchildren Camila Hodges, Zoe Hodges, Jamison Hodges and Lincoln Hancock; nieces Yvonne Patterson, Dana Osburn and Margaret Osburn; nephews Michael Carducci, Daniel Carducci, Pipino Camizzi and Jonathan Peters; and great nephews Malikai Patterson and Jeremiah Patterson.

The family will hold a public viewing at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, Va., Sunday, June 25, from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a wake at the Carducci residence, at 638 Seneca Road, Great Falls. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 26, at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Great Falls, starting at 11 a.m. Mr. Carducci will be buried at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va., following the services. Pallbearers for the funeral will be Jim Hodges, Todd Henby, Ryan Hodges, Austin Henby, Jonathan Peters and Mark Osburn.

The family requests donations to the ALS Organization in lieu of flowers.
