Obituary of Christina Duff
Christina Cameron Bett Duff (Maiden name: Ritchie) 1938-2018
My sweet mum, Tina Duff, passed away peacefully on Sunday 14th October 2018. My brother, John Duff, and her sister, Jane Norrie, were able to visit recently and we had a wonderful week together. Tina was a mother, a sister, an auntie, a godmother and a very good friend. Perhaps Tina’s most important role was as Granny to Cameron, Jamie, Finlay and Alice. She will always be remembered for her boundless energy, patience and positive attitude. As a retired teacher she was an excellent homework helper. For her grandchildren she was also a great supplier of hot chocolate, marshmallows and tasty treats. Tina was always on the move. She loved tennis, hiking in Scotland, attending French classes, walks in the Botanic gardens, the movies, art galleries, museums and most of all she loved the company of her friends and family. She was a traveler. First to Spain where she married my father, then Cyprus where my father taught army children, Switzerland to visit friends, Spain to visit her sister and family, London to see family and friends, Hong Kong, Vancouver Island to visit John and family and latterly Herndon/Reston to live and spend time with us. We just wish it could have been longer.
We will host a Humanist Celebration of Life service at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon on Wednesday 24th October 2018 at 2pm. Everyone is welcome.
